Trademarks provide an indication of the origin of goods or services in the marketplace. Most trademarks
are words or logos, although other forms may include shapes, colours, sounds and scents. The registration
of a trademark gives the owner a means to prevent others from using that mark or one that is deceptively similar to it in respect of the goods or services for which it is registered.

Before they embark on a marketing campaign or go to the substantial expense of branding products and packaging, at Dark IP we work with our clients to identify any risk of a third party preventing them from using their trademark. We also assist in the filing and registration of trademark applications in Australia and New Zealand.
